At Forest Hill Keystone (FHK), we have developed a process to help our Buyers successfully purchase their dream home. Buying a home is sometimes overwhelming, we understand, and we are here to help make the process fun, exciting, and as stress-free as possible.
Follow our 9-step process for buyers:
Step 1: Determine what you can afford.
This is an essential step as we do not want to look for homes that are above your price range. Doing so will only lead to disappointment. There are beautiful homes available in all price ranges; we will find you the best possible opportunity for you.
Step 2: Obtain a Mortgage Pre-Approval.
We have experts at FHK that a help! Obtaining a pre-approval will give you confidence when submitting an offer. If your offer is accepted you can have peace of mind knowing you have been pre-approved, and the home you wish to purchase is within your approval range.
Step 3 + 4: Review typical one-time and monthly expenses.
You want to be aware of the moving costs (one-time) and what it cost to maintain the home (taxes, heating, water, etc.). The mortgage payment is only part of the expenses of the home, knowing the cost of all the expenses related to the home will ensure you have the complete financial picture.
Step 5: Understanding the offer Process.
The FHK Team Partner will ensure you understand the offer details so that you feel confident making an informed & educated decision.
Step 6: Making the offer!
This is an exciting & sometimes nerve-racking part of the process and we will be there to walk you through, hand holding you every step of the way.
Step 7: Property Inspection.
If you wish to have an inspection done on the property, which we always recommend, we work with reputable inspectors within the industry that can facilitate the inspection and give you an in-depth report on the health of the property.
Step 8: Legal advice.
Having a strong legal representative is crucial to the process when purchasing a home. We have a suitable list of firms our clients have worked with in the past & have been happy with their services.
Step 9: MoveSnap.
MoveSnap is a complimentary concierge service to ensure you feel like the VIP that you are. We provide this luxury service for all of our preferred clients. You can relax; we will make sure every detail is taken care of!
