It’s Fall Ya’ll

Sweater Weather has arrived and I could not be more excited. Fall is MY season! Now, I know what you’re thinking and I do realize the millions of people who feel the same but for some reason, I feel like Fall and I just have this everlasting bond. This season makes all bad things good again.

It’s that time of year when the air is crisp, the smell of firewood is in the air, we get to wear the oh-so-comfy sweaters and drink cinnamon and pumpkin spice everything! Have I always felt like this? Pretty much! This fondness that I feel for this magical season stems all the way back to my elementary school days when it was time to get ready for back to school and all I could remember was feeling anxious (in a good way) about what this new school year would be like, shopping for back to school supplies and oh the greatest smell of all was the paper. YES, I said paper lol. You know that smell when you walk into a book store and pick up a brand new book - THAT smell. It was always a new beginning and it has stayed with me into adulthood and transformed into this nutty Fall obsession.

The colours, OH THE COLOURS! I keep searching google for a word that is worthy of how I feel about the beauty that is Fall but nothing seems to capture that feeling.

If you know me, you know where to find me in the Fall. Local farms, trails, exploring the GTA for that next enchanting Fall location. If you have small kiddos like myself it’s not always easy to pack up the car and go on a 3-hour adventure to chase the best Fall Foliage in Ontario but you want to know the greatest part? YOU DON’T HAVE TO!

Milton has been my home for quite some time now and there’s something to be said for that charming small-town feel. Milton makes me feel like I’ve stepped into an episode of the Gilmore Girls lol that’s right, I said it. Roll your eyes all you want but Milton is my Stars Hollow. We even have a Gazebo near the town hall at Victoria Park … COME ON!

So, with all that said, here are my Top 5 Fall Places to visit in Milton, Ontario. Oh and BONUS...they are all Instagrammable ;)

This is my go-to place just steps away from the heart of Downtown Milton. It is my get-away to clear my head and just immerse myself in the beauty and history our town has to offer. Fall Foliage is at its best in the month of October and boy is it ever beautiful. Grab a bite to eat or get a pumpkin spice latte from any of the wonderful local restaurants downtown and head to the Mill Pond Trail, have a picnic at the Gazebo or walk down Martin Street to fall in love with the character homes that Milton has to offer. This is a great spot all year round but there's just something so special and magical about it in the Fall.

BONUS*  If you are looking for a spot for Fall family, wedding or engagement photos then this is your spot.
Chudleigh's Blossom Cafe is located in Historic Downtown Milton and is one of those quaint spots you can't just pass by......, especially in the Fall. I feel like I need to mention that while I only chose 5 places for this blog, Milton has SO MUCH MORE to offer in terms of Fall Activities perfect for all ages. If I had to write about everything that gives me the feels I might be writing my first short story headed for the Best Sellers list hahaha.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for that Perfect Pumpkin Spice cozy feeling in your soul then head on down to Milton and experience all the Autumn goodness this charming town has to offer.
